where I've been...Hi ladies! I know I've been scarce these past few days, so thanks for keeping the home fires burning! I had an epic TWELVE-HOUR book signing this weekend at the Sacramento State Fair. Shall I say it again?! TWELVE! HOURS! It's taken me this long just to stop twitching. Which isn't to say I didn't have an awesome time, which I did. I signed with the wonderful Brenda Novak, whom I've nicknamed Obiwan, because she has so much experience and is so gracious sharing her words of wisdom with a greenhorn like me. Also there--natch--was my critique partner Kate Perry. Check out her very entertaining blog about the event (complete with photos!) A huge thank-you to Bradley at Book Lovers Books--if you're ever in Sacramento, be sure to pay him a visit! Added September 10th, 2009 by veronica

Yes, she's raised a ton of money for juvenile diabetes research. She's great!! And it wasn't so much the hand that was tired, but my poor old mug from smiling. I'm a bit of a goofball smiler anyway, so the 12-hour bit killed me!

LMAO!! Goofball? I would not say that. LOL you have a lovely smile. But in the future you the tape they use to keep dresses up for those Red Carpet premiers. If it can hold your ta-tas in place and stop them from jiggling I am sure it can hold your smile in place. LMAO!! Just watch the drooling factor since you can't close your mouth!

Trust me, Lizzie. You can't tell it from the silly glamour shots, but I'm a big old grinner/belly laugher... :-D
— veronica Mon, 09/21/2009 - 5:29pm
LOL Well I am a belly laugher as well. In fact my man says he can hear me outside sometimes. Ooops! I guess I am quite loud but at least I am laughing!

*ME* too, Sarah. I hear my mother when I laugh, and it freaks me out...

It will be comforting, I think, when they are no longer here!

Sigh...I know it. Another funny thing--my mom has a parrot (who, apparently, will live for a total of 100 years..!), but *he* laughs exactly like her too!
— veronica Thu, 09/24/2009 - 8:33am
Too funny! I had to giggle at that!

LMAO!!!! Well at least you will have the parrot to remind you if not yourself. Me I laugh like my dad. Look a lot like him too. Big Snozzzz as we call ourselves. Steve calls it the "HA"! laugh. Whatever that is.
