My Writing Life

This is my hometown Borders at Stonestown Mall in San Francisco.  I had SO much fun!  The manager told me I set a record, which was very exciting.

Here I am at the Emeryville Borders. Can you tell I had a favorite February signing sweater? Hey, a girl gets chilly just sitting and signing! And you'll note, that Walkers shortbread is never far from my side...

Here I am signing at the San Rafael Waldenbooks.  I brought the shortbread, and Cat, the super gracious store manager, supplied the chocolate! 

A shot of me flanked by two of my lovely author friends, Tracy Grant and Kate Perry, at my big 40th-birthday bash. (No, dear reader, I am not the 99 years my MySpace profile would have you believe.)

I spent Thanksgiving in New York and was lucky enough to meet my Editor, Cindy Hwang, and her Assistant Editor, Leis Pederson, for lunch. Believe me, it was some feat sneaking out the door in a white sweater unmarred by magic marker, peanut butter, spaghetti sauce, banana smudge, or grape juice.

This is me and the brilliant, witty, and warm-hearted Kate Perry. Not only is she one of my favorite writers, she owns a broadsword and knows how to use it. My dream critique partner!

We had SO much fun crashing the HQN dance floor in Dallas.  Here are Bella Andre, Elizabeth Bevarly, and Christie Ridgway.

What a fun dinner this was! Another shot from the 2007 RWA conference. Carol Culver, Kate Moore, Bella Andre, Candice Hern, and Kalen Hughes. That big smile on my face is because everyone had just helped me brainstorm the one-last-scene that I needed to make my second book just right.
