A rake and a crofterI'll break the ice here! Just read my first Madeline Hunter book, The Sinner, and I loved it! Such wonderful prose, I couldn't turn those pages fast enough. And I'm tucking into John McPhee's The Crofter and the Laird, recommended by a reader at my friend Monica McCarty's blog. I'm already finding it such a fascinating insight into life on an island in the Hebrides. |

I've been reading the entire series from the being with Naked in Death on Sunday, April 6, 2008. It's been more than a month since I started so I think I'm an alright reader but there are 26 books in total in the series so what can I say.

Veronica, I loved Kiss and Tell, great book. I read the next 4 books after too. They where good but not as good as Kiss and Tell.

Hi Kathy,
I've been busy so I haven't finished "The Mercenary" yet. It's a reprint. I think she updated the story a little. "The Mercenary" is the first T-Flac book, so you there aren't any previous books to read before you pick it up. After which book did you stop reading? Was it "On Thin Ice?" I really enjoyed her two latest books, "Hot Ice" and "White Heat."

Cyclops, I actually read up to "On Thin Ice" I have it up stairs and have never read it. Did you read ON Thin Ice? I was thinking the other day about reading it, but picked up a differant book instead. Let me know what you think about these books, it might sway me into picking them up again. I really liked Kiss and Tell, it was the best of the one's I read. The others were good too, but for some reason I stopped before getting to ON Thin Ice.

Kiss and Tell is the first one of hers that I've read. My critique partner (Kate Perry) recommended it to me, and I'm really enjoying it. Unfortunately, I've had to put it down for a few days. I'm packing up the house to move and I've been asleep before my head hits the pillow every night! LOL--moving's hard work!

Kathy, "Kiss and Tell" is fave of mine and so is Jake. I thought "On Thin Ice" was okay. I didn't like it as much as her others. Since you have the book, give it a try.
