i'm baaaaaaaaaaack!Hi lovelies! I need recommendations - I want steamy sex, good history and kilts. Am just finishing Monica's "The Chief" and nned something similar. Conversely, Veronica...you mentioned you were reading Georgette Heyer...is she old fashioned? Is there ANY sex? I mean - weren't they written in the 30's? Pete's going away for 10 days and I need some good reads! Love you guys! Added April 5th, 2010 by pammerjo

Hello there. It is sooo good to see you back in here. It has been very quiet with everyone gone.
I think you would like the Jude Deveraux series. The first is called Lavender Morning and the second is called Days of Gold. The first is set in now a days and a girl who was befriended by an older woamn all of her life inheirits her home in a town called Edilean. While she is there she learns that the woman wasn't who she thought and learns about her and the town. Book two is set in 1766 Scotland is about the story of the two people who founded the town Edilean. They are really good.

Hey you!! Good to see you. :) Heyer is awesome, old-fashioned Regency with no sex. But a very satisfying read nonetheless. The Grand Sophy is a fun one to start with. That's all I can come up with at the moment...my head is so buried in the sand with this latest book. :-\

ok...didn't read this until this morning - DLed a bunch of Michele Sinclair and another one (can't remember title) that looked interesting - a back in time thing.
Will check out your suggestions!
Thanks!

Pam, if I could only help you... let's see: I've got steamy (even sticky) sex but without kilt or history. I've got history with kilts, but without steamy sex and I've got kilts, sex (not nearly steamy enough) and history but only three chapters, of which I am going to scrap one.
And all of it in German, which may not be of any use to you :-(
Sorry!
Ne oublie!

hmmm...well - I've got sex, kilts, & scotland, england 1400s, 1500s, 1600s - no sex, Ireland present day, LOTSA sex and tension and fae. I just keep hitting "what's new in romance" on amazon, and if it deals with any of the above, I'm there.
:-) thanks.

Made me laugh, Chris! :) I'm still on my (very tame) Regency kick, Pam...sorry not to be of help.

Oooohhh!! Chris! That sounds very interesting. Perhaps they will help me brush up on my German! lol I need all the help I can get!! lol ... V. I absolutely love Georgette Heyer. I read her when I was growing up (mind you I don't think I ever will, grow up that is, evil chuckle) and I was hooked. My mother read Heyer when she was young and recommended her to me. Thank you mother!!
