I was just wondering if you cry when you write the sad spots in your books? I sure do when I read them. Do you get all caught up in your writing or others writings?
What a fantastic question! I *do* cry!! Though, in some ways, it's the unexpected bits that make me the most teary. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I'll be abstract here. For example, in Master, I didn't cry as much in the spot where you'd think (!), as I did when that red-headed clansman died (remember, when Ewen pulled the man's bonnet over his eyes and said "Godspeed"?) I knew the other tragedy was going to happen, but I hadn't been as prepared for the clansman's death, and I wept! But, you know, I love crying. When I write, when I read, I love the feel of those emotions pulling me...
