Hello: a Tar Heel greets you all!

Dear Veronica, Everyone,
My name is Tina Loflin(I think I have ties with the MacLachlan clan), and I have two of your books: "Master of the Highlands" and "Sword of the Highlands". I love them both, but the tale of James breaks my heart a bit. I think he must've been a wonderful man, and I would've loved a chance to meet him...
As for myself...hmm, I am Brazilian-American(my mom was from Brasil), speak several languages(Portuguese, natch, Spanish, some French, and am in the slow process of learning Gaelic, both Irish and Scots--doing it myself, I am, with only dictionaries, the computer, and time, to help me...;-D). I'm a passionate Celtophile, and have undertaken a study, on my own, about the ancient Celts, and have a number of books on the subject.
I also love Celtic music, stories, mythology--and I've learned to play the pennywhistle, on my own. My whistle was custom-made for me, with the maker's initials engraved near the mouthpiece, and it is one of my treasures. If I travel, it goes with me.
What else? I've traveled quite a bit--back and forth, Brasil--USA as a child(lived there 8 years), four days in Mexico City, Ireland, Scotland, France(my youngest sister is married to a Frenchman, and they live in southern France). Also I've spent some time in Lima, Peru, again as a child.
I have a wide range of interests. I'm a closet archaeologist. I love books: SF/Fantasy, mystery, romance: including your books, I love Karen Marie Moning, Melissa Mayhue, Susan Wiggs, and so many more...I am a true bookaholic.
That is NOT in a nutshell--forgive my 'novel here--and as people change(if they grow, they do), I expect I will too...! :-D
I want to wish you all Happy Easter, and may the Bunny be generous with you. Please take care, and have a great week!
Peace, hugs and love,
Tina

Dear Everyone,
It's good to hear from you all! I'm so glad to be here!!
Hugs and love,
Tina

Hi Tina, and a huge welcome to you!! My apologies for the late reply--I've been on vacation, and internet access has been sporadic. (Big thanks to Pam and Sarah for rolling out the welcome wagon!) I'm so thrilled you enjoyed my first two books. Did you know they're both being translated into Portuguese? Fun, huh? They'll be sold in Brazil--I'll be sure to post the front cover art whenever I get it. I totally know what you mean, though...James absolutely broke my heart too. Sigh. There were so many wonderful men from that time period who were cut down so young. It's why I have to go back and write happy endings for all of them. *g* Well, a big welcome again!! It's a pleasure to have you here! :)

You are most welcome!

~Sarah~

Tina,
Congrats on your team winning the championship!!!!

Hi Tina, welcome aboard. Gayle
